Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding the product to an expert level and providing solutions for any problem to a non-technical audience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assesses and understands clients’ needs prior to a software demonstration
· Demonstrates software to existing clients addressing needs, and inquiries submitted to the sales team
· Provides expert assistance to Sales and Support teams to communicate client needs.
· Ensures that customer needs are met by software design capabilities or proposal of approved alternate solutions (e.g., custom development, 3rd party solutions, or API integration)
· Proposes additional application extensions (modules) to customers and explains benefits when needs are identified.
· Provides support to customers and resolves problems with extensive knowledge of the product.
· Assists with product testing and client follow-up
· Performs other duties as assigned. (e.g., Training, Webinars)
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Highly Proficient with Microsoft Excel
· Some Experience with Database Queries (Microsoft Access / Microsoft SQL Server)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills
· Analytical and Strategic skills
· Ability to learn software applications quickly
· Ability to learn industry terms quickly
Education and Experience:
· Must have at least 4 years combined of Sales and Technical Experience working with clients in-person, video conferencing or phone support
· Preferred (but not required): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Math or other related areas of study. · Preferred (but not required): Mortgage Industry Experience
